My personal project, my Home renovation.

In the Summer of 2016, my Husband and I decided to look at a house with no intention to buy.  The house had been on the market for over 500 days and it continued to speak to me through the realtor websites where we watched homes list and sell the way others watch sports.  After multiple showings and ignoring warnings from parents we submitted an offer on our dream home. Through all of the obvious work, we saw endless potential.  Twenty-four hours hadn't passed on our closing date and demolition began on what is now my portfolio and my passion.

Project Nursery Part One & Part Deux

When I found out I was expecting, visions of the perfect nursery immediately went through my head.  A whimsical wallpaper was a must, a white crib with modern lines, a chic rocker, and a dreamy light fixture to top it off.  Just a few weeks before baby was due the nursery was complete and exactly what I had envisioned... 5 months later we moved.  I decided to duplicate the nursery in the new house, it was my vision from the beginning and I just couldn't part.  What I love most is the eclectic mix of whimsy and modern that would suit a baby boy or girl.

Embrace Your Inner Flamingo

When designing the Guest Bath I immediately knew that I wanted to involve wallpaper and create and design that would stand out.  I have always loved the Cole & Sons Flamingo wallpaper and decided it would be the perfect wow factor to this otherwise small, simple bathroom.  This bathroom was gutted down to the studs on day one of renovations and since the Fall we shut the door until we were ready. What was originally a tub/shower combo is now a shower draped in vintage inspired subway tiles in an off white.  In keeping with the vintage theme, a simple pedestal sink with a second hand gold mirror are tucked into the small space.  Hexagon Marble floors nod to the period of the house while still feeling modern and clean.
